In-Office Bleaching

Teeth bleaching is a cosmetic dental procedure designed to lighten the color of your teeth.

IN-OFFICE PROFESSIONAL TREATMENTS

Laser Or Light-Activated Whitening: The teeth are initially bleached with whitening gel, and then the bleaching ingredient is activated with a laser or other light source. The whitening gel’s efficiency is increased by the light.

Custom Tray Whitening: For the patient, a customized tray is made, and bleaching gel is added to the tray. The tray is worn by the patient for a certain period of time, usually a few hours per day or overnight.

HOW TEETH BLEACHING DIFFERENT FROM TEETH WHITENING?

Whitening treatments try to restore the natural color of your teeth by removing surface stains. In contrast, bleaching procedures use high-quality whitening agents to brighten your teeth’s color beyond what it naturally would be.

Whitening treatment targets extrinsic stains caused by coffee, tea, tobacco, or certain foods. Whereas an In-Office Bleaching procedure is recommended if you have discoloration due to dental injuries, age, certain medications, smoking, tobacco use, or certain medical conditions.

Generally speaking, whitening procedures are less intense and may be completed at home using professional take-home kits or over-the-counter solutions. The teeth-bleaching process offers more potent and immediate results due to the higher concentration of the bleaching agent.
